February 21-Kwakiutl Totem Pole

This totem pole, donated by the Kwakiutl First Nations on Canada's west coast, stands proudly in Wascana Park. The plaque reads:

Donated by the Native Indian People of British Columbia to
commemorate the centenary of the union, July 20, 1871 of the
Province of British Columbia with Canada.
